Earlier today, the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Migos Ogamba, commissioned a newly built multi-storey academic block at the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic in Mombasa.

The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Migos Ogamba, yesterday chaired a Joint National Projects Steering Committee Meeting for the Kenya Primary Education Equity in Learning (KPEEL) Programme, the Kenya Secondary Education Equity and Quality Improvement Programme (SEEQIP), and the Development of Schools Infrastructure in Nyamira County Project at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.

The meeting provided an opportunity for stakeholders to assess progress, address emerging challenges, and strengthen coordination to ensure the timely and effective delivery of these key education initiatives. The programmes are central to the Government’s efforts to expand access, improve quality, and promote equity in basic education across the country.

In attendance were the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Basic Education, Prof. Julius Bitok, and representatives from development partners.

This afternoon, 04/02/2026  the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Migos Ogamba, had the honour of joining His Excellency the President, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, at State House, Nairobi, for the conferment of a Charter to Bomet University.

The conferment of the Charter marks a major milestone in the growth of the institution, affirming its full accreditation and autonomy in governance, academic programming, and research. It also represents another significant step in the ongoing efforts to expand access to quality and relevant higher education in Kenya.Charter
