President William Ruto Inaugurates Educational Infrastructure Development Initiatives
President William Ruto officially inaugurated the Tana River Technical and Vocational College in Hola, Tana River County. This move reinforces the government's commitment to expanding technical and vocational education, equipping youth with industry-relevant skills to enhance employability and foster economic transformation.
The event, hosted by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba EBS, and TVET Principal Secretary Dr. Esther Muoria, CBS, highlighted a collaborative effort between national and county governments to advance TVET.
By strengthening these institutions in previously marginalized areas, the government aims to bridge the skills gap, promote innovation, and drive sustainable development by building and equipping TVETs equitably across the country, securing meaningful employment for the youth.
Earlier, The Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba together with Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Dr. Belio Kipsang yesterday hosted President William Ruto at the official opening of Mjambere Secondary School in Mombasa County. The event was attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi,among other leaders.
The inauguration of Mjambere Secondary School in Kisauni, a densely populated area of Mombasa County, underscores the government's commitment to expanding access to quality education.
By establishing this new school, the administration addresses the need for improved educational infrastructure in populous regions, equipping learners with essential skills for academic and professional success, and ultimately contributing to national development.
